VISTA is a subset of the AmeriCorps program. VISTAs are full-time paid volunteers who commit to a year of service combatting poverty by partnering with local government agencies, nonprofits, and educational institutions. VISTAs mobilize local resources, build organizational capacity and empower communities in development.
Douglass CLT is a DC-based membership-driven independent nonprofit centered on racial & economic equity. We work to create and secure permanently affordable, quality living and working spaces for the renter, homeowner, and small business owner while ensuring decision-making resides within the community through Community Ownership of Land and Collective Stewardship
