The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) Job Fair on Wednesday, June 8, 2022

The DC Department of Public Works is happy to announce that they will host a DPW job fair on Wednesday, June 8 at the North Michigan Park recreation center. DPW will screen qualified applicants for motor vehicle operator vacant positions. Individuals interested in tow truck driver positions should bring their:
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B)
DOT Medical Certificate
Resume highlighting their tow truck driver experience.

Job seekers can talk to DPW human resource representatives, apply for vacant positions, and qualified applicants may be invited for an interview, additional screening, or testing.
All individuals who plan to attend the fair should bring government issued identification.

DPW is a second chance agency. Qualified returning citizens are encouraged to attend. Onsite DPW human resource representatives will conduct preliminary screening and may invite qualified candidates for additional screening and testing.

Applicants have the option of claiming additional preference if they are:

A District resident;
Anyone claiming District residency preference at the time of application should be prepared to provide a government-issued form of identification and proof of voter registration.

A veteran (and/or has disabilities from military service);
Applicants claiming veteran’s preference should be prepared to provide a copy of their DD-214.

18 to 21 years of age and is currently or was a Child and Family Services (CFSA) foster care recipient within the last five years. Applicants claiming a foster care preference will need a letter or other documentation from CFSA or the Family Court of D.C. Superior Court showing that they are currently in foster care or showing the date they left court supervision.

This event is free and open to the public.
