Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Tunnels Across the District

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
Sunday, December 4, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway northbound right two lanes closed.
Monday, December 5, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway northbound left two lanes closed.
Tuesday, December 6, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway southbound right two lanes closed.
Wednesday, December 7, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway southbound left two lanes closed.
Thursday, December 8, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway southbound left two lanes closed.
Sunday, December 11, 2022 – Tunnel 173 9th Street two right lanes closed.
Monday, December 12. 2022 – Tunnel 173 9th Street two right lanes closed.
Tuesday, December 13, 2022 –Tunnel 173 9th Street two right lanes closed.
Wednesday, December 14, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway.
Thursday, December 15, 2022 – Tunnel 1302 I-66/Potomac Ave Freeway.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate lite-to-moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
