Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations Beginning November 10 through November 18, 2022

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for fiber conduit conditioning and cleaning construction activities beginning November 10 through November 18, 2022, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:

Frontage Rd., SW – Ramp to 12th Street Expressway- shoulder work and single lane closure needed on Frontage Rd., SW headed to the Ramp to 12th Street Expressway. Ramp will remain open to traffic but will be partially closed to facilitate shoulder work. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Thursday, November 10 through Friday, November 18, 2022. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Travelers should exercise caution while traveling in the area.

12th Street Expressway – Ramp from I-395 single lane closures needed on 12th Street Expressway coming after ramp from I-395. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting Thursday, November 10 through Friday, November 18, 2022.

I-395 SW Freeway, after Maine Ave. split- single lane closures needed on I-395 SW Freeway after Maine Ave. Exit split. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Thursday, November 10 through Friday, November 18, 2022.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
