Temporary District Lane Closures for Bridge Maintenance

Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations on Highways for Bridge Preventative Maintenance.

(WASHINGTON, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes on the following roadways for bridge preventative maintenance construction activities beginning November 14 through November 22, 2022, weather permitting.
Operation hours and locations are listed below:

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D and E to/from Rte 50- BR.1200- Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramps C, D & E to/from Rte 50- partial ramp closures needed for both Eastbound Ramp C and Westbound Ramp D and E. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Ramp will remain open to traffic but will be partially closed to facilitate work underneath the ramps. Partial ramp closures will be between the hours of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over Potomac Parkway- BR. 1200- Night- single lane closure needed for eastbound and westbound on Theodore Roosevelt Bridge during the hours of 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be in effect weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
10th Street Mall over I-395 NB & SB- BR.1108 – single lane closure needed on 10th Street Mall and on I-395 NB & SB. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Ramp to Benning Road over Kenilworth Avenue SB- BR.104 single lane closures needed on the on ramp to Benning Road and underneath on I-295 SB. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Malcolm X over South Capitol- BR.44- single lane closures needed on Malcolm X. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Chain Bridge Road over Potomac River- BR.0001 – single lane closures needed on Chain Bridge Road. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closures will be between the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting on Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Rhode Island Ave NW over North Capitol Street- BR.051, single lane closures needed on both Rhode Island Ave and underneath on North Capitol Street for emergency repairs. Proper variable message board will be in place to notify the public of changes. Lane closure will be between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting Monday, November 14 through Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
